Te Amo, Rainbow Dash - Act 4, Scene 4

(The lights fade on to reveal Pinkamena in a dark warehouse. She has large bags under her eyes, as if she hasn't had a lot of sleep, and an insane crooked smile.)

(Pinkamena)

"Okay, you've heard what she sounds like. Just try it."

(She takes a breath.)

(Imitating Pinkie Pie's usual happy voice) "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! I come from a little rock farm on the outskirts of Ponyville. I like partying, making friends and hanging out with my best friends, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack. Apparantly, the latter and I are cousins now, but I don't even know myself. Oh well, until the day it's proved, I guess somepony's gonna say me and her are a cute couple."

(Pinkamena then does a perfect impression of Pinkie Pie's laughter, but then coughs violently, falling to her knees in the process, before standing back up and speaking normally, her voice slightly lower in pitch than her former self.)

"Oh, who am I kidding? I can't impersonate Pinkie Pie for long. Doing that voice hurts my throat and it's virtually impossible to mimic her laughing without having a coughing fit like that. I've tried bleaching my coat to a lighter shade, but it doesn't work. I also have no idea how she kept that mane of hers puffy. I guess I should've asked her before I stabbed large holes in her stomach. I'll just talk normally and if anypony asks, I'll just say-."

(Photo Finish walks on stage, holding a bottle which is a quarter full of water in her hoof as Pinkamena rants to herself. When Photo Finish speaks, Pinkamena is startled.)

(Photo Finish)

(To herself) "Who does that mare think she is? What does she mean Hoity Toity's designs are 'not suitable material for the photo shoot'? She has tangled with the wrong mare! I mean, does she know who she's talking to?! She's talking to the great Photo Finish!"

(She drinks the remaining water in the bottle whilst Pinkamina sits down on a near-by chair.)

"The fastion industry just isn't fair! It just isn't!"

(She then angrily throws the bottle downwards towards a near-by bin. It bounces off the edge and rolls off stage. Photo Finish watches it roll off and then notices Pinkamena. Upon seeing her, Photo Finish acts like whatever happened before she arrived at the warehouse never happened.)

"Oh, hello Ms. Pie."

(Photo Finish sits down in a seat next to Pinkamena as she says the next line.)

(Pinkamena)

"Hello Ms. Finish. Is something the matter?"

(Photo Finish)

"Nothing serious. Just a problem with a few members of my photography crew. I really don't want to talk about it."

(She takes notice of Pinkamena's face.)

"What happened to your face?"

(Pinkamena)

"Hmm?"

(Photo Finish)

"Your face? You don't look nor sound very well."

(Pinkamena)

"Huh? Oh, yeah. I couldn't sleep last night and I think I've caught a cold or something. How are things getting on with Hoity Toity?"

(Photo Finish)

"Doing alright. I don't know about you, but I find him a very attractive colt to be around. I've had this feeling ever since the first time I did a collaboration with him a few years ago. He just seems to get more handsome the more he works."

(Pinkamena)

"I can see why you'd think that."

(Photo Finish)

"I might actually ask him to marry me at one point. Unless he does so first. Why do you never find mares proposing to colts?"

(Pinkamena shrugs.)

(Pinkamena)

"I don't know. Sexism maybe? Speaking of marriage, Rainbow Dash told me about how Soarin proposed to her the night the two made love for the first time."

(Photo Finish)

"Really? Did she accept it?"

(Pinkamena)

"No, she didn't. She told me it was because she felt that her and Soarin should give it some time rather than jump straight to marriage. I bet she regrets that decision now she's dead."

(Photo Finish stands up as she says her next series of lines.)

(Photo Finish)

"Hmm. You know Ms. Pie, some colts, like Hoity Toity and Soarin, are just so strange in this world. In fact, it seems there's something wrong with everypony nowadays. Some ponies are polite and helpful, others cruel and deceptive and others, just pure evil. Matter of fact, I've heard this story about one colt who was so desperate for a marefriend, he'd sleep with any mare that he could find. What he didn't know was that some of those mares were stealing his money behind his back. Within 2 weeks or so, he lost all his money, his friends left him and his livelyhood crashed. All because he wanted a marefriend."

(Pinkamena)

"Is this colt still around Ponyville?"

(Photo Finish)

"Not any more. From what I've heard, the colt slept with one mare that happened to be suffering a very bad case of Syphilis. He ended up getting the putrid pathogen and died from it."

(Pinkamena)

"Really?"

(Photo Finish nods)

"That's terrible!"

(Photo Finish)

"Couldn't agree more. His friends became extremely depressed afterwards. Speaking of which, I can only imagine how depressed Soarin has gotten since Rainbow Dash's death."

(Pinkamena)

"Yeah I can only imagine. But yet again, he really must get over it."

(Photo Finish starts to act suspicious and looks at Pinkamena.)

(Photo Finish)

"What are you talking about?"

(Pinkamena)

"Well, don't get me wrong. I'd be depressed if I got a coltfriend and he just dropped dead one day. But face it, Soarin's a little bit childish. Whether we'd like to admit it or not, he's childish. And especially now since Rainbow Dash died."

(Photo Finish)

"Soarin's childish? Pinkie, do you realise how depressed Soarin is right now? I thought you'd have a better idea of how it feels for Soarin to be in so much pain! But it's obvious you don't. Rainbow Dash died a couple of days ago-."

(Pinkamena)

(Interrupting) "I know! I was the one who killed her!"

(Photo Finish looks shocked.)

(Photo Finish)

"Wait, you what?"

(Pinkamena)

"You heard me. I was the one who killed Rainbow Dash."

(Photo Finish)

"What do you mean by 'killed' her?"

(Pinkamena)

"Exactly that. I took her into Sugarcube Corner and murdered her."

(Photo Finish chuckles a little nervously.)

(Photo Finish)

"No. Come on Pinkie Pie. You're joking, right? Your friends told me you're quite the prankster. You wouldn't normally do something like that."

(Pinkamena)

"You're right. Pinkie Pie wouldn't do that. I would though, because I was lying to you from the start."

(Photo Finish)

"What?"

(Pinkamena)

"I'm not Pinkie Pie. I am her real self! I am the Pinkie Pie the one you know tried to keep in the dark! My name is Pinkamena Diane Pie!"

(After Pinkamena says her name, there is a loud clap of thunder and a flash of lightning outside, which Photo Finish jumps at.)

(Photo Finish)

"No! You're insane! You need help! And preferably a jail cell to rot in!"

(Photo Finish turns back to run away. However, Pinkamena grabs a near-by coil of wire and wraps it around Photo Finish's neck. The sudden stop jerks Photo Finish's head forwards, sending her glasses off her eyes and to the floor, where they break. She struggles to break free as Pinkamena holds her in place, choking her.)

(Pinkamena)

"Shh. Don't worry, Ms. Finish. You're gonna thank me for this later. Just go to sleep now."

(As Pinkamena say the above line, Photo Finish's struggling begin to slow down. Eventually, her hooves fall limp and she dies. Pinkamena releases the coil of wire around her neck and Photo Finish's body falls limp onto the ground.)

"There. One less witness to deal with."

(Voice)

"I don't think so!"

(Pinkamena looks around, startled by this new voice.)

(Pinkamena)

"Who said that?"

(Voice)

"I did!"

(Pinkamena)

"Show yourself!"

(From the shadows, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo emerge from the darkness. The voice is revealed to be Scootaloo.)

(Scootaloo)

"We saw you strangle Photo Finish to death after that conversation you had with her! And YOU were the one who killed Rainbow Dash! Deep inside, I knew she wasn't the kind of mare to have an accident!"

(Apple Bloom)

"Somepony will be alerted about this!"

(The two fillies turn around to alert authorities, but Pinkamena runs up and stands in front of them, stopping them in their tracks.)

(Pinkamena)

"Really? What if I told you that I can help you get your cutie marks?"

(Scootaloo)

"Huh?"

(Apple Bloom)

"There is?"

(Pinkamena)

"Certainly. Here's my offer: if you help me with a few 'odd jobs' here and there every now and again, I can guarantee you'll get your cutie marks."

(Apple Bloom)

"I'm in!"

(Scootaloo)

"I don't know."

(Apple Bloom)

"Ah come on Scootaloo! Think about it! After we get our cutie marks, we won't have to worry about bein' called 'blank flanks' by Diamond Tiara an' Silver Spoon ever again! Maybe we can get Sweetie Belle in on this too!"

(Scootaloo)

"But this mare, MURDERED Rainbow Dash! Have you forgotten about that?!"

(Pinkamena)

"Oh don't worry. I haven't murdered Rainbow Dash. I've merely set her free from the restraints of this decaying society. If you help me, not only will you recieve your cutie mark, you will also be set free to join Rainbow Dash when you pass away. We're also freeing other ponies from this corrupt world too! It's a win-win-win situation!"

(Scootaloo opens her mouth to argue.)

(Apple Bloom)

"Please Scootaloo? Please do it for Rainbow Dash."

(Scootaloo sighs.)

(Scootaloo)

"Alright fine. But only because it'll help me get close to Rainbow Dash when I die."

(Pinkamena)

"Splendid! Now firstly, help me get Ms. Photo Finish out of sight."

(The 3 drag Photo Finish's body to the top right corner of the stage and then prop her up against a pole, giving the impression she's standing on her hind legs. Suddenly, footsteps can be heard.)

(Apple Bloom)

"Pinkie! Somepony's coming!"

(Scootaloo)

"What do we do?"

(Pinkamena)

"Hide and keep your muzzles shut."

(The 3 hide behind a series of trash bags. Hoity Toity then walks on stage.)

(Hoity Toity)

"Where did that thunder and lightning come from? I didn't see any storm clouds or anything. Surely, somepony found Rainbow Dash's replacement. I just hope it's not that ditzy grey mare with the blonde mane and messed up eyes. That mare has some kind of mental disability and-."

(He notices 'Photo Finish')

"Oh! Ms. Photo Finish! I didn't expect you to be here. Um listen, I just want to say that ever since our first collaboration, I've been having these feelings towards you. You've got to understand its rather difficult for me to explain my feelings to you but, I guess the easiest thing to say is I love you."

('Photo Finish' doesn't respond.)

"Ms. Finish? Can you hear me?"

(He walks up to the body and presses his hoof against it. Her body falls over and reveals a mark where Pinkamina strangled her.)

"Wait! Ms. Finish?! Are you okay?! Answer me! Ms. Finish wake up! Please!"

(She still doesn't respond. Hoity Toity falls to his knees.)

"Please wake up! What are you doing?! You're not dead! You're not dead! I know you're not dead!"

(Hoity Toity begins to break down and cry as Pinkamena, Apple Bloom & Scootaloo. After a few seconds, he notices the 3.)

"What do you want? Can't you see I'm mourning a loss?"

(Pinkamena)

"I'm sorry for having this happen to you Mr. Hoity Toity. But if we could offer assistance, we saw who killed Photo Finish."

(Hoity Toity perks up at this.)

(Hoity Toity)

"You have?"

(Pinkamena nods.)

"Who? Who killed Ms. Photo Finish?"

(The lights go out.)

(End of Scene 4.)
